SIA CCTV Training Course

SIA CCTV training course is designed to enable those that wish to work as a CCTV Public Space Surveillance (PSS) operative. On completion of the course if the candidate successfully pass the exams, they can then apply for the badge. On completion the student would have gained the relevant understanding of how to operate a system, a good sound knowledge of the current legislation required.

During the SIA CCTV training course there are 3 units that would be covered:

Unit 1: Working in the Private Security Industry
Unit 2: Working as a CCTV Operator
Unit 3: Practical Operation of CCTV Equipment

Public Space Surveillance (CCTV) Training

In order to obtain an SIA licence you will need to show that you are trained to the right level. This applies to front line staff only.

To get one of the qualifications linked to Public Space Surveillance (CCTV) licensing you will need to attend and take two training modules, take and pass two exams. The SIA CCTV training may be delivered over four days or during weekends and/or evening sessions.

The duration of the training should be 32 GLH.
